Site Manager – Installation & Commissioning

Location: Worldwide.

Due to strong growth F.W.Marsh Energy Services are currently seeking experienced Site Managers for our globally managed projects. F.W.Marsh provide site supervision, installation/commissioning and field service operations for Industrial Gas Turbine power generation and marine installations.

Essential:
  • Hold in-depth knowledge of installation/commissioning and maintenance of Aero-derivative industrial gas turbines, controls instrumentation and/or generator products. 

  • Safety of personnel and equipment are primary objectives.

  • This is a customer facing role and as such you will be expected to provide customers with a high quality service and satisfaction whilst managing contractors and driving the project to meet deadlines.

  • To champion the EHS effort on site and ensure the full implementation of the customer and Contractor EHS plans and procedures and roll out the customer EHS System and monitor implementation with regular audits. To take responsibility for compliance with the EHS Verification Plan, in ensuring that all scheduled activities are completed and closed out in the time frame and sequence agreed.

  • To manage, lead and provide support to the Site team and be the Single point of contact with customer offices for all Contract, Commercial and Technical reports and information flow.

  • Plan and organise labour assignment to the project.

  • To chair daily Site Team meetings and regular weekly meetings with the Contractor and compile weekly and monthly reports to the Project Manager.

  • Write technical reports, manage materials/warranty issues/equipment for customer requested work scope, provide job status reports, and submit time sheets and expenses.

  • To coordinate all interfaces with Project team, Design team and other third parties to ensure full visibility is maintained and full awareness achieved with all interested parties.

  • To ensure that Project Contractors schedule is fully aligned with the overall Project schedule and to highlight any potential deviations in a timely fashion.

  • Preparation and organization of all site documentation. To approve documents and procedures prepared by the Project Contractor and GE Site Team.

  • Strive to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction in all transactions and relationships.

  • Ensure and assist Technical Advisors in maintaining the commissioning data and sign-offs within the customer e-tools and hard site copies.

Gas Turbine Field Service Technician

Location: Worldwide.

FW Marsh turbine technicians are familiar with a large range of engines including, but not limited to, the widely used General Electric (GE) Land and Marine (LM) and Rolls Royce range of turbines. Our experience includes offshore installations, power generation, natural gas compression facilities, ship propulsion, and cogeneration applications on a global scale. The services performed by our turbine technicians include inspection and faultfinding, repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance, plus installations and major overhauls.

As a field service engineer you will be an expert in rotating equipment, focused on site activities management such as planning, manpower resources/tools assignment and technical assistance to complete the work scope according to the process procedures and contractual requirements.

Experience is required on one or more of the following engines:
  • GE LM range of Aeroderivative gas turbines LM1600, LM2500, LM5000, LM6000, LMS100

  • GE CF6-6, CF6-50 CF6-80, F404

  • Rolls Royce RB211, Trent, Avon

  • Provide installation and commissioning services as well as scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aero-derivative industrial gas turbines, controls instrumentation and/or generator products.

  • You will operate from home with extensive travel to assignments globally.

 

Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Write accurate professional reports acting as single point of contact between customers/FW Marsh concerning technical issues.

  • Ensure that all field operations a performed to given procedures and to the highest standards of quality.

  • Ensure Field service activities are carried out safely complying with company environmental health & safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures.

  • Hold a valid passport and have international travel and work experience.

  • Provide technical instruction and guidance to customer’s personnel.

Controls Technician

Location: Worldwide depending on experience.

Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Oil & Gas/Energy industry.

  • Degree/HND/HNC in electrical/electro-technical engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with installation/commissioning and maintenance of Aero-derivative industrial gas turbine/generator sets including auxiliary equipment.

  • Training/experience with installation and commissioning of gas turbine control systems and related auxiliary systems. Including Woodward control systems Micronet, Micronet plus and woodward servo controllers/valves, DSLC and MSLC’s, Netcon 500, Atlas. GE Fanuc, Speedtronic Mark IV, V and VI, Fanuc 90/70, GE Fanuc Rx7i. Bently Nevada 3300/3500 condition monitoring. Intellution HMI Software, AVR, EX2100 Generator controls, Generator excitation and repair (Brush). Xycom, Wonderware, Industrial Networking, En-Tronic Control Systems, Allen Bradley ControlLogix, Rolls Royce FT automation and control systems, Beckwith Integrated Generator Protection System,  SATEC DMMF. Emerson Gas Chromatograph 700, Allstec 800 Fire & Gas, Cimplicity ME & HMI, SCADA.

  • Strong customer service focus.

Gas Turbine Depot Technician

Location: Various – Europe.

Our turbine technicians are familiar with a large range of engines including, but not limited to, the widely used General Electric (GE) and Rolls Royce range of turbines. The services performed by our turbine technicians include inspection and faultfinding, repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance, plus installations and major overhauls. As a depot technician you will be an expert in the strip and rebuild of aero gas turbines and the associated quality and tooling aspects of such activities. The role with require use of various shopfloor manuals and 100% adherence to the instructions provided within.

  • Knowledge/experience of rotating equipment vibration analysis and alignment is an asset.
  • Inspection experience is an asset.
