At the Brading Southern Water site, in the UK, FW Marsh was awarded the contract to provide a turnkey solution to regeneration of an aging treatment plant. The existing systems were obsolete and in need of renewal and reassignment from a treatment works to a pumping station back to the main waste recovery network. FW Marsh was involved with the customer from the planning stage through to completion and the ongoing maintenance of the plan.
From fabrication of safety barriers through to installation and commissioning of pipework, valves, pumps and PLC based control systems with HMI panel that allow for clear operations, FW Marsh has a dedication to supporting our customer with multiple disciplines from a single source. The project was delivered on time and under budget with clear project management feedback to the customer at all stages building on the reputation that we at FW Marsh pride ourselves on for each and every job.
CHILLERTON
Chillerton WTW provides waste water treatment for the growing surrounding area. Over the years the plant has become deemed unfit for purpose due to the increase development of surrounding properties & businesses. We were awarded the mechanical & electrical contract to revamp the treatment works, the key new process elements that were installed was a new biological inlet tank, SAF plant, silt buster, reed beds & feed pumping station.
The final project was completed commissioned, and running fully automatic with telemetry monitoring. The treatment works has been improved to the latest specification and dealing with the demand at less than 50% capacity. The end result now easily complies with EU regulation.
RYDE CANOE LAKE
We were rewarded the project on Ryde sea front Isle of Wight to provide a new pumping station, to discharge the excess collected water within the canoe lake. During the winter months the canoe lake water level rises to a high level, creating issues for nearby businesses and pedestrians.
We have installed a system that monitors the lake level & sea level. The system operates to maintain a preferred level within the lake all year round. The project was run by a local building contractor where we were both involved in the design and construction for the local council.
